This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Power Corporation (“SaskPower”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Pasqua Control Building Civil Works, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “ Work”).
SaskPower is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan.
As outlined within the RFP, the Contractor shall complete Work to facilitate the delivery and installation (by Others) of a new skid-style control building at a SaskPower Site located near Moose Jaw. All Work occurs within an existing electrical station and, as such, requires qualified electrical supervision during construction.
The Work at the Site includes the installation of drilled cast-in-place concrete pile foundations, cable trench installation of various width and length, pull box supply and installation including steel ladder access and marker, ground grid additions including structural connections to the new skid-style control building, decommissioning and removal of an existing sanitary sewer holding tank, demolition of a slab-on-grade concrete foundation, and all site preparation remediation during and after construction.
Some Work areas at the Site may have overhead access concerns, as well as electrical clearance limitations, and the Proponent shall take these constraints into consideration as part of the bid submission to SaskPower.
