The City of Martensville is requesting proposals for the demolition and cleanup of a commercial building which was damaged as a result of a fire. Please note that a component of this demolition work involves the removal of asbestos. Details including a report on the asbestos can be found in the RFP document.
The successful bidder will be resposible for the following:
Line locates through Sask First Call; A demolition permit has to be attained from Planning & Development at City Hall prior to starting demolition; Demolish all structures including out buildings, and also to include the identification and removal of all landscaping including trees and back yard fence (trees and fence will be marked with an orange X) and any paved surfaces on the property, like the the driveway and sidewalks; Remove foundation whether it is a slab, crawl space or full basement (concrete or other); Remove all debris remaining on-site including but not limited to: garbage, shopping carts etc.; All debris to be hauled to the City Landfill (Landfill fees will not be charged to the contractor but is required to be weighted upon entry); The void created by the removal of the foundation shall be filled with jackpine sand compacted to ninety five percent (95%) proctor density. An inspection through the demolition permit will be completed prior to the contractor backfilling. The City of Prince Albert will not supply jack pine sand. Level lot to grade; Complete demolition using proper PPE following the City of Prince Albert’s Safety Policy; and Complete all work within four (4) days of commencement. Start date to be established between the Contractor and the City.

The Rural Integrated Roads for Growth (RIRG) Program and the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) are offering the Bridge and Large Diameter Culvert Initiative that provided funding assistance to Rural Municipalities (RMs) for the replacement of existing bridges and large diameter culverts.
The Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities (SARM) – Municipal Bridge Services (SMBS) provides RMs with engineering services including technical expertise and the provision of design and tender documents required to build new bridges through the Bridge and Large Diameter Culvert Initiative.
Bridge construction projects managed by the SMBS requires construction supervision by qualified personnel.
The successful Consultant will have the opportunity to provide their services to each RM completing a RIRG bridge project that is scheduled to be completed in the 2022-23 fiscal year as described in this Request for Proposal (RFP).
The agreement for services provided by the successful Consultant for construction supervision of the bridge projects shall be between the RM and the Consultant.
The successful Consultant will understand that the proposed RIRG bridge projects are currently in the process of award to the Contractor and are not yet guaranteed to proceed.
