Future Requirement for COR or SECOR Certification on public construction tenders for the Ministry of Central Services

The Government of Saskatchewan is committed to construction safety and Mission: Zero — working toward zero injuries, zero fatalities, zero suffering.

As part of that commitment, the Ministry of Central Services intends to adopt a requirement, by April 1, 2019, for all bidders on construction contracts estimated to exceed one million dollars to have achieved a Certificate of Recognition (COR) or Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR) from the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association, or been granted equivalency by that agency.

Until the implementation date above, the Ministry will continue to include COR, SECOR or Equivalency as a rated requirement on all public tenders.
