The City is seeking Building Envelope Specialists to assess the condition of the Art Gallery of Saskatchewan Inc. roofing system to develop a long-term phased approach to managing the asset. Preventative maintenance is ongoing and in 2022 the City engaged a building envelope specialist to review the work performed to date. The work will include investigations, project management, design and construction documentation, and contract administration. This project will require coordination between the City and staff of the facility to provide the duty of care consistent with a Category A museum while maintaining operational needs.

Scope of Work: The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, recladding of an approximately 730 m2 one-storey building in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. The building is currently metal clad with corrugated metal cladding and a band of masonry at grade. The scope includes the removal of the masonry band, removal of the existing metal cladding and insulations and removal of the existing windows and doors. Repair / replace the membrane at selected existing window and door locations. The scope includes new thermal clips and insulation with new corrugated metal cladding, flashings and the reinstallation of existing windows and doors. The masonry band is replaced with metal cladding and new concrete faced insulation is installed at grade.

The Ministry of Highways (MoH) is electrifying the Riverhurst Ferry, located north of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The ferry operates from mid-April to mid-December transporting vehicle traffic across Lake Diefenbaker near Riverhurst Saskatchewan when the lake is not frozen. The ferry currently uses a diesel-hydraulic propulsion system to power a cable winch that pulls the ferry across the lake.

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Power Corporation (“SaskPower”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Pasqua Control Building Civil Works, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “ Work”).
SaskPower is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan.
As outlined within the RFP, the Contractor shall complete Work to facilitate the delivery and installation (by Others) of a new skid-style control building at a SaskPower Site located near Moose Jaw. All Work occurs within an existing electrical station and, as such, requires qualified electrical supervision during construction.
The Work at the Site includes the installation of drilled cast-in-place concrete pile foundations, cable trench installation of various width and length, pull box supply and installation including steel ladder access and marker, ground grid additions including structural connections to the new skid-style control building, decommissioning and removal of an existing sanitary sewer holding tank, demolition of a slab-on-grade concrete foundation, and all site preparation remediation during and after construction.
Some Work areas at the Site may have overhead access concerns, as well as electrical clearance limitations, and the Proponent shall take these constraints into consideration as part of the bid submission to SaskPower.
