The Work generally comprises: the demolition and disposal of the existing Community Services Building
located at 4419 – 52 Avenue, the removal and disposal of the concrete footing and foundation, removal
and abandonment of the existing building services between the building and the property lines, i.e.,
water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer, removal of the existing separate sidewalk, curb & gutter, and
asphalt concrete pavement within the property line, removal of wooden bollards and wooden plug-in
posts, the removal of concrete aprons, installation of separate sidewalk, installation of vertical face curb
and gutter, installation of concrete jersey barriers, clearing and grubbing of vegetation as directed,
importing and placing owner supplied clay fill within excavations, and the restoration of the site with
gravel, topsoil, and seeding. Also included in the work will be the coordination with the applicable utility
providers and the abandonment/removal of existing shallow utilities, i.e., telephone, power, gas, fibre
optic, etc.
