Proponent to provide a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is a software package that maintains a computer database of information about an organization's maintenance operations. This information is intended to help Facilities Management and Clinical Engineering staff do their jobs more effectively and to help make informed decisions. CMMS data is also used to verify regulatory compliance. Information is required to analyze what is occurring and properly control the maintenance of facilities and equipment. Manually, this requires a tremendous amount of effort and time. A CMMS allows for record keeping, and tracking completed and assigned tasks in a timely and cost-effective manner.
