Bids for the construction of “Town of Saltcoats – Water Treatment System & Sewage Pumping System Upgrades will be received until 2:00 PM CST on Tuesday March 23rd, 2021 by electronic submission to the office of Catterall & Wright Consulting Engineers.

Water Treatment System work generally consists of:

• An addition and renovations to the existing Water Treatment Plant; including new concrete Pumpwell and Pipe chambers.
• New mechanical systems including membrane treatment unit and distribution pumps.
• New electrical and controls, including standby power generation.
• Water main and sanitary sewer extensions.
• Completion of two new wells and raw water supply piping.

Sewage Pumping System work generally consists of:

• A vertical extension to the existing concrete wet well chamber, including new access hatches.
• Ventilation upgrades.
• Addition of a swab launch to the existing force main.

Bids shall be submitted on the Bid Form contained in the Project Manual and must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid price, made payable to the Town of Saltcoats, and a Surety’s consent to provide other specified bonding.Bids shall be submitted electronically as described in the Project Manual.

The Town of Saltcoats reserves the right to reject or accept any bid for any reason, without explanation, whether arbitrary, unreasonable, or otherwise.
