The Town of Foam Lake is seeking qualified contractors to submit bids for replacing the HVAC systems at the Community Hall (321 Chant Street). The project includes removing existing air conditioners, furnaces, evaporators, and piping, reclaiming R-22 refrigerant, and installing new equipment using A2L refrigerants. All work must follow current building, electrical, mechanical, and fire codes.
Contractors must be certified for A2L refrigerants and capable of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work. Required permits (TSASK, fire, mechanical) are the responsibility of the contractor. Installation must include new concrete pads, compliant piping (ACR with nitrogen purge), and safety measures like refrigerant sensors.
The project timeline runs from September 1 to October 1, 2025, to avoid disruption of community events. Site visits are available on July 2 and July 9, and drawings can be requested by email or picked up at the Town Office.
Tender closes July 18, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Submissions must include a breakdown of costs, equipment, and a proposed schedule. Bids can be submitted by email, mail, or in person.
The Town is not obligated to accept the lowest bid.
