Geoanalytical ICP's OES & MS -- 2526-021
The Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) is Canada’s second largest research and technology organization. SRC focuses its efforts on the mining, minerals, agriculture and energy sectors, and the environmental considerations that are important across each sector. With about 400 employees, $220 million in annual revenue and over 75 years of RD&D experience, SRC has 1,500 clients in 27 countries around the world. We help clients from across the world solve technology problems, make improvements, seize opportunities, maintain competitiveness, increase productivity, and develop new markets.
SRC is inviting quotations for the Supply and Commissioning of Geoanalytical ICP’s and MS (“the Project”). When mutually agreeable between SRC and the successful Respondent, any resulting agreement may be extended to cover additional related requirements for the next approximate five (5) year period.
Selecting a vendor(s) for the supply, commission of ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy) and ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy) units for SRC’s Geoanalytical Laboratory.
The scope of supply shall include the following:
4.2.1 ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy) - 3 units
• Description and requirements:
o ICP OES with dual view (Axial and Radial).
o Argon Plasma (please detail the consumption per hour on normal conditions).
o Capability to support our current ESI system (PrepFast2 and PrepFast3).
o HF resistant introduction system.
o Updated software (with the capability to support and control the ESI systems).
o Demountable torch would be ideal to reduce consumable costs.
o Capability to run samples with a high throughput and easy maintenance.
SRC currently works with simultaneous ICP OES for multielement measurements per sample in a short period of time in order to be able to run the ESI autosampler with 8 racks of 60 samples.
Because of the high throughput, we are looking to maintain our productivity, and believe a simultaneous ICP OES would be the best suitable option.
o Warranty and support service (including software and instrument training).
4.2.2 ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy) - 1 unit
• Description and requirements:
o ICP MS single quadrupole (other configurations may be accepted).
o Argon Plasma (please detail the consumption per hour on normal conditions).
o Capability to support our current ESI system (PrepFast2 and PrepFast3).
o HF resistant introduction system.
