Whole Body X-Ray Security Scanners -- 7125
This Negotiated Request for Proposal (NRFP) is an invitation by the Government of Saskatchewan (GOS) to prospective Proponents to provide Submissions for the provision of Whole Body X-Ray Security Scanning Systems, as further described in the NRFP Particulars (Appendix A).
As part of the its contraband reduction strategy, the Ministry of Corrections and Policing (Ministry) is interested in acquiring whole body x-ray security scanning systems for installation in adult correctional facilities. The first system will be installed in the Regina Correctional Centre by March 31, 2019 with one (1) additional unit installed in each subsequent year, in the remaining three (3) adult facilities. The GOS during the Agreement may purchase an additional three (3) units for use in youth correctional facilities.
There will be three (3) phases to this NRFP process. The phases are as follows:
1. Proponents are invited to attend a site visit at the Regina Correctional Centre to discuss the requirements and address any questions about the NRFP process. The site visit is scheduled for October 31, 2018.
Interested Proponents that would like to attend the site visits are to contact Christine Labatt at christine.labatt@gov.sk.ca no later than 4p.m Local Saskatchewan Time on October 26, 2018 stating their ability to attend.
If Proponents participated in the Request for Information (RFI) process and as part of that process attended the site visits to all adult correctional facilities, the site visits included in this NRFP process will provide no new information that wasn’t included as part of the RFI process.
2. Proponents are invited to meet individually with the procurement and operations staff representing the Ministry of Corrections and Policing to discuss the requirements of the NRFP.
Meetings will be done in person after the site visit at the Regina Correctional Center (see Section 1.4.1 for details). If Proponents are unable to meet at that time arrangements can be made for a later date, and if necessary done in person or via teleconference.
If possible, the Ministry would like the Proponents to send any potential questions they would like to ask before the meeting; so that a more meaningful discussion can occur.
3. Proponents are asked to submit a written response as per the submission requirements listed in this NRFP.
