Project Description:
Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure (MHI) requires design, tender package preparation and construction administration services for the completion of Safety Improvement Projects (SIP) as required to meet planned project delivery schedules for the 2021 and 2022 construction seasons. Projects are located throughout the MHI Central Region.
It is anticipated there will be up to five (5) additional design, tender and construction projects annually, for a total of 10 additional projects under this commission. Additional projects will vary in scope each year and their scope is currently unknown. The Ministry reserves the right to decide on the number of additional projects to be added based on the annual need and available budget.
The successful consultant’s agreement will span 2 years with the possibility of extending to a third year should the Ministry choose and is agreeable to both parties.
The safety improvement designs will include: the surfacing design, access consolidation review, intersection treatment design, grid road realignment, service road design, guardrail design, embankment design and stakeholder consultations. The Ministry will require tender package preparation for each improvement and construction administration of the contracts.
