Emerald Park Traffic Study 2025 -- RM158-2025-16

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Rural Municipality of Edenwold No. 158 (“the RM”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Engineering Services for a Traffic Study of the Emerald Park Area. Recent development in Emerald Park is putting additional pressure on the existing road network. There are several key transportation corridors within Emerald Park that provide connectivity for the residents, businesses and customers of Emerald Park to the City of Regina and surrounding area. These corridors are comprised of the following roads:

  • Great Plains Road
  • Great Plains Industrial Drive
  • South Plains Road
  • Emerald Park Road
  • Huber Drive
  • Betteridge Road

These key roads are utilized by residents, businesses and customers in the area to commute between the Emerald Park area and the adjacent major centres of Balgonie, White City, Pilot Butte and Regina. The area is also a strong agribusiness hub with large farm equipment utilizing major roadways. Betteridge Road experiences lower volumes than the other roads listed, however, it will become an integral part of the overall traffic network as development in the area progresses.

The purpose of the Traffic Study is to quantify the traffic volumes, patterns and level of service for the corridors identified above to determine future improvements and potential development limitations.
