Sealed tenders are invited from eligible and reputable bidders for construction services for the Water Treatment Plant Upgrade in Big River, SK. Water Treatment Plant Upgrade and associated miscellaneous works consists of:

Location of existing utilities, On site piping including a new waterline from proposed wells to Water Treatment Plant, Construction of a block building expansion including framing and roof, Unloading and installing treatment system provided by others and tie into existing raw water distribution and waste systems, All process piping including process controls, All associated electrical, All HVAC, Programming, Commissioning, Site Restoration,     Decommissioning of the Existing Water Treatment Plant greensand filter system, Construction of a timber building on top of a remote reservoir including framing and roof, all process piping, all associated electrical and all HVAC, Construction of a new waterline from a remote reservoir to the curb stops by a directional drilling method, Construction of a new chain link fence with access door at the two new wells.

Owner Furnished Items- Owner will supply a treatment equipment including RO dual train skid, two biological pre-treatment tnaks, Clean-In-Place unit, air compressor and other miscellaneous items.

A pre-bid meeting and site inspection will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 2:00 pm local time at the site. The pre-bid meeting is the mandatory.

The Town of Big River, has retained Wood Environment and Infrastructure Solutions, to provide engineering services required for the design, tendering and construction of a reverse osmosis the water treatment system and other upgrades, the water distribution system including completion of new water supply wells (with an associated observation well) and construction of a booster pump house at the remote reservoir. The WTP building expansion will be able to accommodate the proposed biological filtration tanks, reverse osmosis membrane skids, transfer and distribution pumping, a standby emergency generator, and chemical feed systems. Ancillary works including development of the 800 m (approximately) raw water pipeline from two new wellfield, chain-link fences for the wells and observation well and the waterline upgrades from the remote reservoir.

Sealed tenders containing Bids clearly marked “Town of Big River – Water Treatment Plant Upgrade” and addressed to Wood, Att. Ian Judd-Henrey, 4015 Millar Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2K6 shall be received at the office of Wood before 2:00 pm local time, on October 3, 2019.  The Town of Big River is not under any obligations to award a contract and reserves the right in its discretion to cancel the tender at any time for any reason or without reason. The Town of Big River reserves the right to accept the Bid that it deems in its discretion most advantageous.
