EOI-Water Treatment Plant Plan Review, Early Contractor Engagement, and Potential Financial Support -- PARWU2022-1
The Prince Albert Rural Water Utility (PARWU) is currently exploring the possibility of constructing and operating a water treatment plant (WTP) in the RM of Buckland with transmission lines to the current distribution system and a new extension to the Town of Shellbrook. We have enlisted engineering firms and consultants for the design of the water treatment plant, sizing and hydraulic analysis of the transmission pipelines, regulatory, and permitting requirements. The project would create a regional system with the potential of future growth.
Objective
PARWU is requesting proposals from potential contractors to assist in reviewing the project plans and specifications, and early contractor involvement for input on design efficiency. The process is expected to mitigate risk prior to the final decision to move forward with the project. The review should include but not be limited to:
-Detailed analysis of cost-effectiveness
-Functionality
-Process Review
-Compliance with the latest building codes
-Potential additional green energy components
-Constructability
-Cost estimations
-Lean construction
-Cost saving ideas
-Identify risks to construction
The possible ability to aid in gaining or providing financing is considered an asset on future agreements.
