DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  A lined cell (the cell) is located on the west side of the existing landfill. This cell contains approximately 5,000 m3 of contaminated soil.  This soil is mainly contaminated with lead and PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons). The work under this contract is to remove the contaminated soil from the cell and place it into the road bed of the Haul Road to be constructed on the east and south faces of the new deposit area of the landfill.

STARTING DATE:  September 28, 2016     COMPLETION DATE:  November 18, 2016

A tender contained in a sealed envelope and plainly marked "Tender No. 16-0082" will be received up to 2:00 p.m. Saskatchewan Time, Tuesday, September 13, 2016.

An optional meeting for all interested bidders will be held at the City of Saskatoon Landfill Gas Facility located at 119 Power Road Saskatoon. Thursday, September 01, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. Saskatchewan Time.

To ensure consideration, all tenders shall be accompanied by the following:

A bid deposit by Bid Bond for ten (10) percent of the gross tender amount.

A Consent of Surety to furnish a Contract Performance Bond and Labour and Materials Bond each for fifty (50) percent of the gross tender amount.

The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
