Reclamation of Manure Pile on Native Grass -- LAN-2025-01
1. Relocate the manure pile to an old gravel pit on the NW corner of the lease and contour OR re-contour the pile in its current location so that it matches the surrounding topography. Either option will require all debris on the surface to be removed to an authorized landfill.
LSD 16 NE-11-11-26-W3 in RM No. 111 Maple Creek.
2. Preparation of the disturbed ground for reclamation.
3. Site reclamation, including soil preparation, seeding to a native grass mixture suitable for a sandy loam soil in the brown soil zone. The Ministry of Agriculture must preapprove the seed blend.
4. Construction of an exclusion fence of the reclaimed area (approximately 1 hectare), if the pile is to be relocated a second exclusion fence will be required for the relocation site.
5. Site monitoring, including weed control, until the grass has established. Complete 2 events of weed spraying.
