TICHFIELD PODS CIVIL WORKs -- 1011821

The description of the work is, in general as noted below:

The Proponent shall complete all civil and electrical work associated with the development of a station Site for the installation of a PODS (Portable Outdoor Distribution Station) as required by this specification, and the construction drawings, near an existing SaskPower Station located near the north end of Diefenbaker Lake, south of Outlook, Saskatchewan.

The Contractor will be required to work in proximity to existing overhead powerlines of voltages up to 230,000V, and will require a QEW (Qualified Electrical Worker) to work beneath/near these existing power lines.

The Contractor shall supply all labour, material, equipment, tools, and supervision necessary to complete the following Work as specified in this Specification and on the Contract Drawings:

Site Preparation including topsoil removal; supply/installation/compaction of base gravel; supply and installation of geotextile fabrics/grids; supply and installation of insulating crushed rock/traffic gravel; supply and installation of an approved hydroseed mix
Supply and installation of electrical conduit, including all fittings, elbows, and glue
Installation of an electrical grounding grid, including excavation and backfill, utilizing both SaskPower supplied conductors and grounding rods, as well as Contractor supplied material such as CADWELD molds and shot.
