Delivery of Targeted Initiative for Older Workers -- ICT-RFP003
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Government of Saskatchewan (“GOS”), on behalf of the Ministry of Immigration and Career Training(“Ministry”), to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Delivery of a Targeted Initiative for Older Workers.
The Ministry of Immigration and Career Training (ICT) leads efforts to help individuals prepare for, obtain and maintain employment, and activities to assist employers with the development, recruitment and retention of workers, consistent with provincial labour market needs.
The Ministry is seeking competitive proposals for the delivery of the Targeted Initiative for Older Workers (TIOW) through projects across the Province for the period of January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019. Note there is the option to renew for a maximum of one additional year if outcomes are met. Proposals are welcome from public institutions, private business, and community-based organizations.
Older worker is defined as an individual aged 55-64 years of age. Project proposals must be designed for and marketed to older workers. TIOW Proposals should support community economic strategies and activities. Participants must be unemployed, legally entitled to work in Canada and lack the skills needed to successfully secure employment. TIOW programming is aimed at increasing the employability of older workers, and ensuring that they remain active and productive labour market participants.
