This Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is an invitation to submit a non-binding proposal for consulting services to be provided for the design, engineering procurement, construction, and commissioning of a new EMS facility in Davidson, SK. The current facility is leased by the SHA and is set to expire in April, 2022.
The SHA conducted a feasibility study for an EMS facility in another location that was presented in March 2021. This report will be used as a document for the baseline planning for this project in regards to scope.
 

The consultant services are required for design and construction of a new EMS facility located in Davidson,
SK. The facility will be used by SHA EMS team for operations in the surrounding area. The building will be
located southwest of the existing Davidson Health Centre (900 Government Rd, Davidson, SK S0G 1A0)
with ambulance access directly off the main road.
The EMS facility will require the following, but is subject to change at the discretion of the SHA:
? Two bay ambulance garage
? Environment to be temperature controlled so that medications in ambulances can be stored at
required temperatures.
? Area for staff to decontaminate and shower located in the garage area.
? Ability to decontaminate equipment in accordance with OHS.
? Space to store supplies.
? Lockers and washing machines and dryers for staff clothing.
? Boardroom/Training space.
? Administrative space.
? Kitchen and sleeping facilities for two staff due to non-local resources supporting operations.
