Structural Health Monitoring Instrument Installation at Buffalo Pound and Theodore Dams -- WSA-2024-25-0075

The purpose of this project is to implement a structural health monitoring (SHM) program at Buffalo Pound Dam Control Structure and Theodore Dam Spillway. This information will be used to further assess all structural considerations required for the performance and safety of the dams going forward.
The project will be divided into two phases:

  1. Phase 1 will include a background study, site inspections, and review of current design drawings and relevant documents of the existing proposed instrumentation plans. A memo will be submitted summarizing SHM installation recommendations to WSA for review and acceptance.
  2. Phase 2 will include the procurement and installation of the accepted SHM installations at each of the dam sites. A brief factual report summarizing the field installation work, including instrumentation information, will be submitted to WSA for review and acceptance.
