Engineering Services - Biosolids Liquid Injection -- RFP25-0211
The City of Saskatoon’s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operates a biosolids dewatering facility site called the North 40. This site is located off Township Road 382 and Range Road 3050 within the RM of Corman Park. The North 40 is an integral part of the wastewater treatment process as it receives digested sludge pumped from the Wastewater Treatment Plant Digesters for dewatering. The dewatered liquid is then sent back to the plant while the dewatered biosolids remains in the cells. Since 2002, the WWTP has spread these dewatered biosolids onto the subsurface of nearby agricultural lands through liquid injection.
The City is seeking proposals for engineering consultants to provide consulting services to oversee the biosolids liquid injections program over the next four (4) years beginning Spring 2025. The successful proponent will oversee the application of liquid biosolids onto farmland through wet injection, submit Spring and Fall operating plans for each year and submit an annual report to the Water Security Agency (WSA).
