Contract for Mowing R.M. Ditches

Submit tender based on your knowledge of the Rural Municipality of Blaine Lake, which has approximately 350 miles (primary travelled roads consisting of primary grid, secondary grid, main farm access and local farm access roads) Top cut to be done in July, secondary roads and access roads top and bottom final cut after August 31 to be completed by October 15.

Tender to include: - hourly rate including taxes - cost per mile of ditch (one side or both sides per mile; single top or full cut breakdown) - total contract price for R.M. including taxes - additional surcharges or mobilization charges - full list of equipment used - Sask. WCB letter of clearance - Proof of current liability insurance - provide to R.M. a safety program – i.e.: route maps, work times, warning signage, number of employees, etc.

Contractor to furnish all labour and necessary equipment to perform work as specified. Contractor to carry out work in a quality and uniform way and without damage to R.M. culverts and signage. Contractor must submit a letter of good standing from Sask. WCB and also carry a minimum $2 million per incident in liability insurance.

Successful tender will be required to sign a contract with a 10% holdback clause. Contract is for the 2019 mowing season, but council may consider a multi-year contract – two or possible 3 years. Council to provide maps and policy direction. Council reserves the right to reject any or all tenders. Lowest tenders may not necessarily be accepted.
