The City of Meadow Lake is accepting bids for a pilot project to contract out snow removal and ice control services on multiple downtown core sidewalks and/or alleys from October 31st, 2023, until May 1st, 2024. Bidders will complete separate pricing on the form provided for sidewalks and/or alleys. Bidders may choose to bid on either sidewalks or alleys or on both.
It will be up to the successful Bidder’s discretion to perform the services within the timeframes and parameters set by the City as weather conditions warrant and transportation conditions permit.
The work will include the provision of all labour, equipment, and supplies required to remove snow and ice from the sidewalks and/or alleys noted in this tender. Contractors should survey all locations before bidding to familiarize themselves with the service required.
Bidders are also asked to submit their unit price/hourly rates for snow removal and ice control for each location on Appendix E - Pricing Form & Equipment List not including taxes but indicating which taxes will be applicable. Bidders should also include an hourly rate for any value-added services they are offering so that they may be called upon to complete other work if needed.
Bidders will bear all costs associated with or incurred in the preparation and presentation of Bids, including but not limited to, costs that may be incurred for interviews or demonstrations.
