SCIC is a provincial Treasury Board Crown Corporation under the portfolio of the Minister of Agriculture. SCIC works in partnership with industry and with the Ministry of Agriculture to provide producers with responsive agricultural business risk management programs and services: Crop Insurance, AgriStability, Wildlife Damage Compensation and the Western Livestock Price Insurance programs.

SCIC offers compensation for Saskatchewan producers based on the quality of their yield. This provides insurance coverage for the loss in value when the quality of the crop is affected by an insured peril.

SCIC is seeking competitive proposals for the provision of Grain Grading Services in accordance with Canadian Grain Commission Standards of grading samples of harvested production based on the insurance programs delivered by SCIC.
