Town of Blaine Lake - Emergency -- BL-03-2024
The Town of Blaine Lake invites qualified contractors to submit proposals to supply and install a remote solar power system that would:
Provide Emergency Vehicle Warning System
Pedestrian Crossing lights including pushbuttons
The Blaine Lake Firehall is situated approximately 100 meters east of the intersection of 2nd Avenue East and Provincial Highway 12 through Blaine Lake. This highway has a record of approximately 1,000 vehicles per day. That can cause issues for the emergency vehicles turning left, southbound upon Highway # 12. Further, 2nd Avenue East is the major pedestrian crossing from the west side of Blaine Lake to the new Blaine Lake Composite School.
This is a marked and painted pedestrian crossing, however pedestrian crossing lights with pushbuttons controls to allow pedestrians to cross this highway safely are a requirement of this project.
