HQC seeks a professional website developer to design, build and recommend and arrange for hosting a new website and intranet (or staff resource page).

The website will support HQC in achieving its business objectives through our strategic and operational work by working to achieve the following goals:

Convey value: HQC is highly regarded among stakeholders for the value the organization brings through the work it does (both strategic and operational).  The website will help to strengthen HQC’s reputation.

Thought Leadership: HQC is known in Saskatchewan as a leader and trusted resource in quality improvement[1], measurement, research, and analytics.

Inspire others: HQC supports those working in health and health care to accelerate improvement by spreading knowledge and best practices.

Project Scope and Functionality

HQC is seeking a contractor that will provide advice on the functionality that will best support the organizations to achieve its goals. 

Search Engine Optomization: The vendor will be responsible for advising HQC on how to increase the quantity and quality of traffic to the new website with organic serach rankings.

Platform: HQC would like a system where our staff can be responsible, as much as possible, for maintaining the website.  We are interested in considering platforms that are either widely used or where new staff can learn the platform with ease (for example, WordPress).

Copywriting: Much of the copy on the website needs to be refreshed.  HQC will provide the updated copy for the website.

Imagery and illustration: Many of the graphics on the website needs to be refreshed.  HQC will provide graphics for the website.  

Content Migration: HQC staff can migrate content to the new platform.

Budget

HQC is interested in working with the contractor to appropriately scope the project within the financial resources. 

The maximum budget for this project is $50,000 to $60,000 for the external website and intranet (not including ongoing hosting and maintenance), though we may consider a slightly higher amount for the right proposal or functionality.
