The Rural Municipality of Orkney No. 244 is inviting Requests for Proposals for engineering on the upgrading of a current road to a heavy haul-high volume road standard. The road length is approximately  just greater than 2.75 miles. The Municipality will require the services of a qualified Engineer who possess the qualifications to successfully undertake the engineering and consulting services in connection with design, procurement and construction of the project. Please note that the lowest bud may not be necessarily accepted, nor may any bid be selected. All documents must be received by March 30, 2018. Standard Road Requirements: Road must have an appropriate right of way, have a road top width of a minimum 8.6 meters, have a 4:1 side slope with a design speed of 100 km/hour, maximum gradient of 7%, and a maximum super elevation of 0.08 meters per mile. Design shall utilize the same methodology as the ministry of Highways and Infrastructure. The project shall be designed and supervised be a Professional Engineer who is registered to perform such work in the Province of Saskatchewan.
