This Invitation to Tender is by the City of Regina to prospective bidders to submit bids for the Ken Jenkins School Demolition, as further described in the attached Tender document and Annexes A to F.

The Regina Public School Board decommissioned the Ken Jenkins elementary school in June of 2010. In 2013, the City purchased the building and the land. However, the building has been a target of criminal activity resulting in security breaches/break-ins. Due to its age, deterioration of the structure, and the building not being economically salvageable, the City will need to have it demolished.

Note: the play structures that are located adjacent to the north side of the school are not a part of this project and will not be removed or altered in any way.

There will be an information session regarding this competition on February 12, 2020 at 9:00 a.m., C.S.T. (SK) for any interested bidders to attend. The session will take place at 5382 - 2nd Avenue North, Regina, Saskatchewan.

All bidders attending the site meeting shall have proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Minimum PPE shall include steel toe boots, hard hat, high visibility vest, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator mask capable of filtering out mold particles, protective hazardous materials suit that is rated at providing a barrier against hazardous particles and chemicals.
