Scope of Work:  TransGas requires third party consultants to perform fugitive emission surveys at compressor stations and ancillary facilities located throughout Saskatchewan.  The primary tasks associated with a fugitive emission survey are: locating, characterising and quantifying methane emissions from sources of natural gas loss; tagging each leak for future identification; and documenting leak information required by the federal Oil and Gas Methane Regulations.

TransGas requires the use of methane detection equipment that complies with all equipment requirements outlined in the Federal Oil and Gas Methane Regulations. Thermal infrared camera equipment is preferred for larger facilities (e.g. Compressor Stations), however EPA Method 21-compliant equipment may be proposed for use at smaller facilities (e.g. meter stations).

TransGas is committed to the promotion of the industrial and economic growth of the NWPTA region.  TransGas may choose to only accept bids from NWPTA region suppliers or give preference to bidders who are NWPTA region suppliers.  TransGas has the sole, absolute and final discretion and authority to determine whether a bidder is a NWPTA region supplier.
