• The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to invite qualified proponents to prepare and submit competitive proposals for advisory services related to fundraising which will include a communications and branding assessment and recommendation to reframe the organization over the next decade.

The objectives of this RFP are to:  

1. Receive competitive proposals for Fundraising Consulting Services;
2. Assess and make recommendations for Meewasin’s donor relations, fund development strategies and external communications functions;
3. Determine best practices to increase visibility and charitable giving to Meewasin; and
4. Improve efficiency of Meewasin fund development systems where appropriate

A program audit and feasibility study is the consultant’s primary deliverable, addressing the following areas:

• Audience Assessment: Identify how the community views and interacts with Meewasin, key stakeholder groups and their communication preferences.
• Brand Assessment: In consultation with Meewasin and key stakeholders, develop a compelling overview and key positioning statements that resonate with the mission, vision and values of the organization.
• Fundraising Assessment: Determine factors that could influence a major fundraising campaign, annual and planned giving campaigns and prepare a plan that satisfies the following:
  • Identification of revenue/funding sources;
  • Conduct a fundraising campaign feasibility study;
  • Develop a process to address sustainable, long term funding for the organization; and
  • Recognition and promotion strategies that engage community.

This project must be completed by March 15, 2019
