TransGas requires a Contractor to perform remediation for the problematic casings in the TransGas pipeline system. The Contractor will be required to:

1.Test and confirm the casing shorts.

   - Inspect casing vents and identify sites where vent problems exist.
   - Casing depolarization test to verify the existence of a casing short.
   - Pressure test (with air) to verify the pressure containment capabilities of the casing system.

2. Propose remediation plan based on the evaluation of the confirmation test. The remediation plan may include:

  - Casing vent and end seal remedial work.
  - Filling the casing with VpCI or petroleum-based compounds.

SaskEnergy/TransGas is committed to the promotion of the industrial and economic growth of the NWPTA region.  SaskEnergy/TransGas may choose to only accept bids from NWPTA region suppliers or give preference to bidders who are NWPTA region suppliers.  SaskEnergy/TransGas has the sole, absolute and final discretion and authority to determine whether a bidder is a NWPTA region supplier.

This EOI and any resulting RFP is expected to pertain to and enable SaskEnergy/TransGas to conduct its mandated business and ability to deliver for resale, natural gas services to SaskEnergy customers.
