Airborne LiDAR Acquisition and Analysis in Support of Woodland Caribou Recovery -- ENVFS19-INV2

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment's Forest Service and Fish, Wildlife, and Lands branches are working together to acquire airborne LiDAR (ALS) data within high priority woodland caribou habitat, and analysis of vegetation condition on various linear features within habitat patches. The Areas of Interest (AOI) are located within the SK2 Boreal Plains woodland caribou conservation unit near Prince Albert and Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, and total 247,000 hectares. Vegetation analysis (height and cover profile) is required for pre-defined linear features within each AOI.  Acquistion is to occur during leaf-on conditions, and would be expected to start the first week of August 2019.
