Prime Consultant Services - #2 St. Frances -- NRFP7905

The Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools Board of Education (GSCS), together with the Ministry of Education (MoE), are inviting submissions for the provision of Prime Consultant services for the construction of the new St. Frances Cree Bilingual School, which was announced as part of $2.7 Billion of infrastructure funding by the Government of Saskatchewan on March 18, 2020.

Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools operates 43 elementary schools and 7 high schools across Central Saskatchewan with their central office located in the heart of downtown Saskatoon. GSCS operates schools in Saskatoon, Martensville, Warman, Humboldt, and Biggar.

St. Frances Cree Bilingual School began as a partnership initiative with Saskatoon Tribal Council in 2006 and began delivering their program in the fall of 2007. Since its inception, enrolment has increased from less that 150 students to over 640 registered students between the grades of daycare to grade 8. The program’s resounding success has led to facility, space, and programming challenge In response to these challenges, GSCS relocated the grades 6 to 8 to the former St. Patrick’s facility on Bateman Crescent in Saskatoon. Since then the community expressed a need to be united at a single location in order to focus their efforts on providing an environment that values indigenous language learning through indigenous design, community access, collaborative spaces, and partnerships.
