Background

The University of Regina is seeking a video server solution for two main purposes:

To host institutional video content and provide:

-  restricted access to on campus users or designated authenticated users/groups.
-  public access when desired

To integrate with our Moodle LMS and host video content for IT

                Other purposes such as lecture capture or virtual classrooms, etc. are of interest and will be actively considered in term of value to the UofR. Lecture capture is not currently widely used.

Current Environment

                The UofR currently uses Kaltura Community Edition for a video server with open source integrations to Moodle to provide SSO. Some smaller videos are also stored just in Moodle. Our Moodle version is currently 3.8 and we have 3TB of videos in  Kaltura CE currently.  Approximately 90% of videos are moodle related, while the others are either restricted or publicly available, (integrated with open textbooks, etc).
