Water Security Agency is planning to complete rehabilitation of the Gardiner Dam Spillway Bridge to extend its service life based on the recommendations of a recent (2018) structural evaluation.  The Gardiner Dam Spillway Bridge has been in service since 1967.  The bridge structure consists of fifteen simple spans supported on concrete monoliths/ piers.  Each span of the bridge consists of two main longitudinal cast-in-place concrete girders, and eight transverse cast-in-place concrete beams supporting a cast-in-place concrete deck.  The deck is capped with an asphalt wearing surface.  The bridge is subjected to secondary highway traffic loads and occasional crossing of overweight trucks.  The successful respondent of this competition will review the recommendations provided in the structural evaluation report, conduct their own field condition assessments, and complete the detailed design.  Final deliverables will include preparation of Issued for Construction drawings and relevant construction specifications for the rehabilitation.
