Engineering Consultant for Design and Construction Engineering of Chlorine Booster Station -- COR4900

The City of Regina (the “City”) is soliciting Proposals from interested and qualified consulting firms to provide services for pre-design, detailed design, tender document assistance and engineering services during construction for Chlorine Booster Station Project.

The City primary source of water supply is Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant (BPWTP).  The secondary source of water for the City consists of groundwater from two well fields, the West Well Field and the Boggy Creek Well Field. The groundwater supply source is utilized only during periods of upset or inadequacy of the supply of potable water from BPWTP.  Groundwater is treated by chlorine disinfection after leaving storage reservoirs prior to entering the distribution system.  The contact time (CT) for 4 log removal of virus may not be achieved before ground water is entering distribution system. The City may proceed in constructing a chlorine booster station(s) to achieve 4 log virus removal.
