Prairie Spirit School Division intends to select qualified General Contractors, Mechanical Contractors and Electrical Contractors through a two-stage procurement process for partial demolition and building renovations proposed to their school facility located in Leask, Saskatchewan.

Stage One: Request for Qualifications is set to be complete in December 2022.
Stage Two: Invitation to Bid is intended to start in January of 2023.

A committee will evaluate submitted Qualification Statements based upon the identified evaluation criteria and will select up to five (5) respondents in each category deemed qualified. Only those Respondents determined as qualified will be invited to submit a Bid offer in response to the Invitation to Bid will be given the opportunity to continue to the second stage of the selection procurement process in January of 2023.

Project Summary:

The project consists of partial demolition(~1450sm) and renovation(~3200sm) of the remaining existing school as well as an addition of ~225sm. The building will be occupied during construction and the work will need to be phased to permit continuous operation. It is anticipated that the portion of the school planned for demolition can used as temporary swing space while renovations occur elsewhere in the facility. Full project scope will be defined within the Contract Documents that will be made available during the second stage of the procurement process.

The project delivery method for construction will be Design-Bid-Build (CCDC2).

Site visitation is not required for the first stage of the procurement and Proponents should not attempt to make arrangements to enter the facility.
