H21126 - Borden Bridge Landslide Mitigation Project

In order to mitigate landslide movement in the vicinity of the Borden Bridge on the North Saskatchewan River (Control Section 16-23, km 41.0 to 41.3), the Ministry of Highways plans to excavate earth material at the crest of the southeastern riverbank, and construct an earth berm along the river’s southeast shoreline (on the bank and in the river).

EXCAVATION OF EARTH MATERIAL ALONG RIVERBANK CREST; CONSTRUCTION OF A BERM; AND THE BACKFILLING OF A SCOUR HOLE ALONG THE RIVERBED northeast of Highway No. 16 on the south east bank of the North Saskatchewan River.

Bidders may request a debriefing session from Single Procurement Service by emailing spsconstruction@gov.sk.ca within 30 days after the award notification date. The intention of the debriefing is to aid the Bidder by identifying areas of improvement that may be applied to subsequent procurement opportunities.

Earth Excavation Including Hauling, Density As Specified In Special Provisions:  33 600 m3
Random Rip-Rap Type 1:  8 000 m3
Random Rip-Rap Type 2:  2 500 m3

Completion Date: Phase I: November 30, 2022
                             Phase II: June 30, 2023
