Supply of a Vertical Take Off and Landing Unoccupied Aerial Vehicle -- 1819-021

SRC is inviting quotations for the Supply of a Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL) fixed wing Unoccupied Aerial Vehicle (UAV).

SRC provides integrated research solutions to environmental sustainability challenges across all industries and has long been involved in remotely sensed data.

SRC currently operates a fixed wing and multi-rotor Unoccupied Aerial Vehicles (UAV) for small scale image capture and gas detection for the forestry, mining and agriculture sectors resulting in further support to industry and government.

SRC is interested in updating its UAV capabilities by leveraging newer hybrid aircraft designs that offer vertical takeoff capability and fixed wing speed and range in the same aircraft with longer flight times (1 hour +).  Along with aerial photography, new opportunities have led to the requirement for a multi-role platform to provide capabilities for gas detection, inspection, and other specialty uses.
