Safe and Togetherâ„¢ Pilot Program Evaluation -- CSWB-008
The Ministry of Justice and Attorney General, Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) branch, is responsible for addressing and reducing the incidences and effects of interpersonal violence and abuse.
The Government of Saskatchewan (GOS) is piloting the Safe and Together™ model in some Saskatchewan communities. The model is a domestic violence intervention framework that focuses on the perpetrator’s behaviour, prioritizes child safety, and acknowledges the survivor’s protective actions. It aims to enhance system-wide responses through specific tools and interventions, ensuring that the responsibility for child safety rests with the perpetrator and not the survivor, across legal, social, and healthcare settings.
The GOS is looking for a neutral third party to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the Safe and Together™ model as it is implemented in Saskatchewan communities. The evaluation aims to support improved collaboration across human service systems in Saskatchewan communities, focusing particularly on addressing and reducing the incidences and effects of Gender-based Violence (GBV).
