Replacement of an existing, aging steam boiler in the mechanical room of the Biggar and District Health Centre. Originally served by 2 steam boilers, the larger boiler was replaced in 2002 with a hydronic boiler. Currently, the steam boiler cannot support the building load if the larger hydronic boiler fails, and the boiler plant does not comply with the redundancy requirements for CSA Z317.2. This project will replace the remaining steam boiler with three (3) vertical style hydronic boilers and associated venting, in order to meet the CSA guideline.
