Construction of the first phase of a landfill, consisting of a single 0.8 hectare cell able to accommodate approximately 22,000 m3 of waste. This work will include the construction of a berm around the cell, drainage channels around the perimeter of the full buildout of the landfill, and a clay liner. Earthwork will include knowledge of using different types of subgrade materials in certain areas of construction totalling approximately 28,000 m3 of excavation. This includes 2,100 m3 Random Fill, 5,900 m3 Select Fill, 12,500 m3 Clay Liner, and 4,450 m3 Waste.

Installation of a leachate collection system comprised of 300 m of 150 mm leachate collection pipe running longitudinally beneath the centre of the landfill cell and terminating at an underground collection tank. Collection system will include installation of a manhole and cleanout.

Additional constructed items include a 180 m vehicle access ramp, fencing, topsoil replacement, and seeding.
