Poplar River Power Station will be doing a Boiler Acid Clean in October of 2021.  Boiler Clean is to remove magnetite deposits from the waterwalls of the unit which will be completed during the major unit overhaul in October 2021.  This will include the economizer and the waterwall tubes only.  The cleaning solution will consist of inhibited tetra ammonium ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid.  Following the chemical cleaning, it shall be passivate via the reforming of a thin layer of magnetite.

The contractor will provide all labour, chemicals, materials, equipment, safety and emergency supplies etc. as required to perform the work.

There will be an Optional Site Meeting at POPLAR RIVER POWER STATION  on JANUARY 21, 2021 at 10:30 am CST. 

It is highly recommended that proponents attend this site meeting.

Please advise the Procurement Contact, identified on the front cover page of this RFP no later than January 19, 2021 at 5:00 pm CST to confirm attendance.  Due to COVID-19, SaskPower will be limiting the number of attendees on site to 7 or less.  It is preferable to send only one (1) representative of your firm to the Site Meeting.
