The objective of this project is to investigate, analyze and prioritize design solutions to resolve the current water supply, pumping, conveyance and retention issues of the Pike Lake Water Supply Project which pumps water from the South Saskatchewan River to Pike Lake to offset losses through evaporation, infiltration and irrigation.  Based on availability of finances, the highest priorities are intended to be pursued through to construction.  

The project is being divided into the following phases:

1.    Assessment and Feasibility Study
2.    Design
3.    Construction Procurement
4.    Construction Supervision
5.    Project Closeout

However, the cost included in response to this RFQ will only encompass the “Assessment and Feasibility Study” phase; the cost for subsequent phases will be established when the Scope of Work is better defined.

WSA is a Treasury Board Crown corporation within the meaning of The Crown Corporations Act, 1993 (Saskatchewan) that is governed by The Water Security Agency Act (Saskatchewan).  WSA is responsible for water management in the Province of Saskatchewan, which includes managing the Province’s water supply, protecting water quality, ensuring safe drinking water and the treatment of wastewater, reducing flood and drought damage, protecting aquatic habitat, and managing 72 dams and related supply channels.
